Partner Planned Maintenance – 23/03/17 23:00 GMT – NTT

Our provider NTT will be performing some short maintenance on our provided circuit.

We will take this opportunity to migrate the connection to a different router. Traffic will be gracefully routed around NTT whilst this takes place. Destinations currently reachable via NTT will move to Cogent and back again once the maintenance is complete. We do not expect any issue’s from this work, however transit via NTT will be at risk during the maintenance.

We expect the maintenance to last no longer than 1 hour with only a short duration.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Update 22:55 – This maintenance is about to begin

Update 23:28 – Maintenance and migration of service has been completed. Traffic has been moved back onto NTT

Any issues from this work please raise with us so we can investigate immediately.

Background

KCOM will be performing maintenance on Ethernet and Fibre lines at DC3 Wakefield on Saturday 7th of January at 02:00. This maintenance window is open until 06:00 however we expect the outage to be much shorter than this.

All customers with circuits affected by the work will be directly contacted.

Background

NTT one of our peering providers is performing essential maintenance to upgrade one of their devices in their London POP. We will be re-routing traffic around this maintenance for the duration of the work to limit any negative impact to our network services.

Update 22:46 – NTT peering has been taken out of service prior to maintenance window.

Update 07:30 – NTT peering has been restored to normal service

Telehouse have informed us that they will be performing emergency power maintenance within Telehouse North, which is a Node4 POP. The maintenance will require one of the two power feeds to our rack to be dropped for up 3 hours commencing 21:00.

The majority of equipment within our rack is dual powered however there are some devices, such as NTE and fibre/copper converters, which are not therefore some services may be affected. We will have an engineer on site during the maintenance window to monitor and make any necessary changes.

Update 21:30 – As result of losing the B feed some services have been interrupted however these were quickly restored.  At risk notification is still in place until secondary power feed is restored.

Update 22:05 – All clear has now been issued. Both power feeds have been restored. During the restoration one device needed to be rebooted. This caused a brief loss of connectivity (21:58-22:03) for a limited number of customers with services terminating in Telehouse North.

Planned Maintenance Notification – Derby – Wakefield At Risk – 15/09/2016 00:00 – 16/09/2016 01:00

We have been notified by our fibre provider that they will be conducting some maintenance on one of our 10Gb Services between Debry and Wakefield Datacentre.

Maintenance will begin at 15/09/2016 00:00 and will be at risk until 01:00 16/09/2016

During these times, we will re-route around the affected fibre meaning there should be no negative impact to service.

We have been notified by our fibre provider that they will be conducting some maintenance on one of our 10Gb Services in TeleCity Williams House.

Maintenance will begin at 22:00 22/04/2016 and will be at risk until 04:00 23/04/16.

During these times, we will re-route around the affected fibre meaning there should be no negative impact to service.

This work however leaves the Manchester POP with reduced resiliency and as such will be at Risk for the duration of the maintance window.
