SSY Virtual Servers in Reboot Loops (Softcom)

SSY are using a piece of software from Softcom on a number of servers.

On a number of occasions we have found that the Softcom Mail Notifier service fails to start successfully due to the associated process (Softcom.MailNotifier.exe) timing out as other services it is dependent upon are slow to start. This in turn triggers a boot-loop on the server.

If one of the SSY servers is in a boot-loop you need to log in within 2-3 seconds of the login prompt appearing - then set the Softcom Mail Notifier service to Automatic (Delayed Start) - once this is done the reboot loops will stop.
